About Gwendolyn Rearich
Hello, you can call me Gwen!
With a BFA in Communication Design and a minor in German Communication and Culture from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, I studied graphic design, advertising design, interactive design, and illustration – plus German fairy tales and comic books.
During college, classes on the principles and practices of design in its various forms taught me that there were so many new ways to look at the world. This gave me the chance to develop a diverse range of projects, thanks to the enriching knowledge from experienced professors. Though I have since graduated, I am still excited to find new applications of those academics in the professional design field.
As of March 2024, I currently work as an Artwork Coordinator for Circadia, a luxury skincare company that sells directly to licensed estheticians around the world. My main role as the Artwork Coordinator is to organize, create, and proof all primary and secondary packaging to align with regulatory standards and brand guidelines. My biggest project to date was creating a resealable multi-page label for every retail and professional product Circadia provides in 12 European languages to better promote understanding and inclusivity with the company’s global audience. Thanks to my skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva, I was able to expand my role into making marketing materials for new product launches, editorial ads for beauty trade shows, and promoting in-person educational events.
My artistic style of traditional illustrations in combination with digital designs builds the authentic, hand-done texture within precise, detailed pieces that I crave in my unique works. My focus in illustration extends beyond design work and into personal passions. You can check out my Instagram, @gwendolynrearich, to see my latest projects.
In my spare time, I coach as a volunteer for the Ephrata Youth Cheerleading Program. As a cheerleader with 15 years of experience and two gold medals earned at the Allstar World Championship, I carry enthusiasm and determination into my everyday life. Also, I love listening in fantasy audiobooks with dragons and magic, playing TTRPGs with my friends, and exploring nature with my family as refreshing sources of inspiration.
I am proud of the work I do as an Artwork Coordinator, and I am excited to see the ways this experience will allow me to grow as a designer. I am interested in learning from a mentor about professional development in the design industry. I'm always open to hearing about design roles in packaging, branding, illustration, and visual storytelling. Check out my portfolio or contact me using the buttons below!
